In the judging eyes of our parents
...the feats we cherish the most might seem irrelevant. We all think then, how blind they must be, and how everything will be different when we are presented with the tasks of adulthood. Funny, how age seems to sneak up on everyone in the end. Just for once I would like to see a true rebellious 20 year old, grow up to be a 100 without ever experiencing anything above his age. Spare him the bad parts, like losing family, or friends, and let him be forever young and beautiful. But spare him the good things too, like starting a family of his own, or recognition of his work by his former role models.
What would the experience of a prolonged search of anything meaningful be? Taking into account, that we all end up somewhere mostly by chance rather than choice simply because time presses forever on, it could revolutionize the way we think about ourselves. Then again it might not even be meaningful enough for good movie. They might use it in a car commercial, or an alternative rock song. We will always have the internet… and bloggers ranting on forever.
